Long before you or I were born.  Before any of the countries on the map existed.  Before there was plastic or steel or bronze.  Before people gained the ability to fly, drive, or sail against the wind.  Before there were languages like English or Spanish and before the modern alphabet.  At the very dawn of early human civilization, when stone and leather were the materials of choice, acupuncture was being used for the treatment of common conditions.  For acupuncture to have been preserved and spread so successfully through long stretches of time and across different cultures is a testament to its value and effects.  If you are trying it for the first time, have no fears.  It is safe, tested, does what it promises and more, and just happens to be very enjoyable.
